In a surprising partnership that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Uncovered

According to the official announcement, "An unusual confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The plot features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine group.

The questline concentrates on "bizarre trials and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana together with multiple objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
